Moonful
summary
Prince Nikolai is the only one of Queen Anne's children who doesn't drown, but what's left inside him might be worse than death.

The Kingdom of Vyerno, 1622. Adelaide becomes Head Priestess of the Congregation of Queen Anne, created in honor of the late queen, whose tragic passing came shortly after her own daughter's, both taken by the dark waters of the Sacred Lake. Adelaide is tasked with uncovering why Prince Nikolai has dissented from the congregation. He's become violent and cruel in his mother's absence, a warrior with an unquenchable thirst for blood. Adelaide's mission puts her directly within his grasp, allowing her to see what hides beneath the cracks. Something vile ails him, a dark stain where his soul is supposed to be. How long has he been this way, and more importantly, is it too late to cure him? Using her faith to heal her patients' souls, Adelaide has an arsenal at her disposal, but he has a pretty face and a silver tongue. As a virginal Catholic and a respectable soul nurse, is she strong enough to resist the Devil's temptations?
