The Kingdom of Vyerno, 1622. Adelaide becomes Head Priestess of the Congregation of Queen Anne, created in honor of the late queen, whose tragic passing came shortly after her own daughter's, both taken by the dark waters of the Sacred Lake. Adelaide is tasked with uncovering why Prince Nikolai has dissented from the congregation. He's become violent and cruel in his mother's absence, a warrior with an unquenchable thirst for blood.
